Power Glove crash fix (GOG)*

*As of GOG.com’s 1.0 hotfix6, the Power Glove crash has been fixed and no longer requires this mod.

Description: This minor modification fixes a crashing issue where the game will crash if you attempt to purchase Ershin’s Power Glove weapon in the Manillo market in Chiqua. The specific issue is caused by a single byte within the Power Glove text description. This fix removes that single, offending byte by shifting the bytes after it up by one.
Directions:
1. Extract the contents of the .7z file to your BoF4 /DAT/ folder. Default location: \Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Breath of Fire IV\DAT
2. Run patch.bat.
3. The patch.bat will make modifications to the following .DAT files which house the Power Glove text description: AB000_00.DAT, CAMP.DAT, COMMU03.DAT, MASTER.DAT, MSHOP.DAT, SGAMEN.DAT, and SHOP.DAT.
4. To uninstall this mod, move the files from /DAT/BACKUP/ into /DAT/.
