Dai Capcom Ten, aka “The Great Capcom Exhibition“, has been traveling around Japan showcasing Capcom’s games and artwork, including those from the Breath of Fire series.
Dragnier reported on the initial exhibit in Osaka last year, and the event has since opened and closed its doors in Nagoya and Tottori, as well. On December 20, 2025, the Tokyo venue opened, and we now have photos of all the glorious Breath of Fire artwork and items shown off there, thanks to a fellow Breath of Fire fan Zachary Essey, who reached out to me via the Breath of Fire Fans social media page! We’ve also clipped a recent video about the exhibit, where Breath of Fire is briefly discussed by Street Fighter 6 director Takayuki Nakayama, who I might add is a big fan of Breath of Fire IV.
As with previous exhibit locations, the “character march” wall featuring Breath of Fire III’s Ryu and Nina is present, along with a display of the original Super Famicom and Super Nintendo Breath of Fire packaging and a wall adorned with Breath of Fire I – V’s logo artwork.
New to the Tokyo location is a wall showcasing the original handmade character sketches of various Breath of Fire III characters, ranging from Ryu, Nina, Rei, Teepo, Garr, the Faeries, Patrio, Claw, and Cawer, the Ammonite boss, Ryu’s various dragon forms, and even a source sketch of Ryu from the original Japanese Breath of Fire III PlayStation commercial.
Topping off the exhibit is a guestbook-style art wall, featuring artwork and messages from fans and even legendary Capcom artists like Akiman (Street Fighter II) and the one and only Tatsuya Yoshikawa (Breath of Fire I – V)!
The Tokyo exhibit will remain open until February 22, 2026.
Many thanks again to Zachary Essey for taking and sharing the photos!

The Great Capcom Exhibition (Tokyo): Breath of Fire III blurb underneath the character sketches wall: “This entry in this series split the story into two sections based on the age of the protagonist. The combat system had plenty of room for creativity, with the ability to grow your character as you pleased by having them study under certain NPCs, or by stealing enemy abilities. The protagonist was able to transform into multiple types of dragons, giving more strategy to the choice. The fishing minigame was also expanded here, with action elements and the ability to select a lure.” (Photo: Zachary Essey)
