Jupiter Corporation has announced a new puzzle game entitled PICROSS S Capcom Classics edition, releasing on Nintendo Switch on November 27, 2025. The game will include characters and artwork from 40 retro Capcom games, with Breath of Fire and Breath of Fire II being among them.
From the game’s website:
“Collaboration Project Between Picross S and memorable CAPCOM games! Characters from retro CAPCOM console games are making an appearance in Nintendo Switch’s Picross S series! 40 titles are included! Numerous nostalgic scenes from CAPCOM games, from 8-bit action and shooting games to 16-bit beat-’em-ups and THE original fighting game are available for discovery as pixel art illustrations.”
Thus far, beyond the Super Famicom key art for Breath of Fire, which is visible in the promotional images below, it’s unclear what pixel art or other illustrations from Breath of Fire and Breath of Fire II might be featured, but it’s refreshing to see even some BoF representation in a crossover title such as this. Jupiter has also noted that the illustrations can be viewed in an art gallery.
